Campbell dedicated to tackling crime

For the past six months, I have had the privilege of serving on the Salisbury Crime Task Force as a resident representative. Assigned to the same subcommittee as Debbie Campbell, I have been very impressed with the structure and dedication she has brought to the task force studies.

Based on the crime statistics given to us by the Salisbury Police Department, we walked through the worst neighborhoods, talked with their residents and identified some problems that we were able to help resolve immediately, e.g., housing problems, drugs, loitering, squatting, litter and changes in a school bus stop.

And then there were problems that we could not help with immediately, e.g., deteriorating neighborhoods, drugs, gang activities, prostitution and crime in general, problems that can only be mitigated through increased city and police activities.

During our neighborhood walks, Debbie demonstrated a calm demeanor while talking with residents who were frightened or frightening. She listened, she focused and she sought solutions.

If you, like me, are concerned with crime and its impact on residents, businesses and business owners, then vote for someone with a clear understanding, a clear focus and a clear determination to reduce crime in Salisbury. Vote Debbie Campbell.
